The collection 'Inferno' are four exclusive Digital artworks, extracted frames selected by Lena Herzog from her immersive artwork 'Any War Any Enemy' (2022-2024), a piece that visually portrays the possible end of the world caused by a catastrophic nuclear war. A rallying cry for the suffering that every conflict inevitably provokes, the portfolio is a heart breaking – if poetic – reflection on war and all conflicts past, present, and those to come. Born in Russia and based in Los Angeles, Herzog is a multidisciplinary conceptual artist working across photography, sound, and VR. Her work explores ritual, loss, and the intersection of art and science. Driven by a sense of mystery, Herzog creates immersive works, like Last Whispers, that distill essence from the ephemeral, revealing the spirit within form. Herzog's collection '"Inferno" debuts in the exhibition 'Source Data' along with the full virtual reality experience "Any War Any Enemy" on view at Kinetek | Gallery at MASS MoCA campus, Building 1, Floor 3 and a five minute immersive video excerpt from "Any War Any Enemy" in the gallery and online in Kinetek | Metaverse.
