At Waimea Bay, the cliffs and surrounding areas are not just scenic—they also hold deep cultural and historical significance, including Native Hawaiian burial sites (iwi kūpuna). This image was captured before this new event transpired. Hillside of this image is where the burial site was located and is now being preserved with archeologist. The boulders fell from the heavy rains. Exposing the burial site from native hawaiians. To say the exact date would be unknown. But the Alii was buried in the cliffs for protection in the afterlife.
