Kogiri slid the contract across the stone table, their intense gaze never leaving the other merchant's face. Down by the docks, a seasoned fisher nudged their young apprentice. "Watch them," the elder whispered. "That's the sharpest dealer in all of Waterfall City. They say Kogiri could trade a fish for the water it swims in." The apprentice squinted, noting the pristine suit and the combat pole strapped to Kogiri’s back. "But... what about the jam?" they asked, pointing. A tiny smudge of purple preserve was smeared on Kogiri's white fur, just beside their mouth. The elder chuckled. "Ah, the jam. No one knows. Some say it's a power move. Others say they're just too focused to notice. Either way, everyone remembers the merchant with jam on their face."
