In The Yard, Whewell is known as a Beagle who is the sort of pup who can find a mystery in a clean room. Anyone within earshot of Whewell eventually hears the theory that the K N L door opens for any pup who can spell brave. Whewell keeps a low profile around the council fountain, and somehow that is exactly what makes other pups notice. Every so often Whewell stumbles on a relic too odd to explain and wisely decides to explain it anyway.
