Jimmy and Lily’s unfortunate loss of 7 BTC (their life savings) is demonstrative of the fact that while self custody is incredibly powerful, it is very easy to make a mistake that results in ruin.
Most normies probably should not have a dramatic% of N.W. in BTC in self custody.
Also this should be really obvious but when moving wallets never input your seed, better to just transfer things over from one seed to the other (start with a small amount too), that way if it's compromised you'll notice the test transfer get stolen
