in the earlier days it seemed like every weekend on friday rumors/announcements would come out of china, always claiming that “china decided to ban bitcoin” whatever that even means, it would basically happen every other friday for months every time it happened everyone panicked and btc price dumped for the entire weekend someone explained to be that in china, govt officials intentionally leak “news” on friday to wreak havoc in the markets without anyone being available to confirm/deny until monday was this true? probably not. but i liked the explanation anyways it is now the year of our lord 2025 and trump is doing the same thing in the US every other friday

the important thing to remember is that weekend price action is always a scam if they try to separate you from from your bitcoin: don’t let them

ethereum is AT LEAST an order of magnitude less valuable than openai is. it’s old tech, lacks clear product-market fit, has very few users a decade after launch, and stopped innovating years ago if openai valuation is $300B, ethereum is VASTLY overvalued at $440B

btw in the previous tariff panic, after the initial dump btc outperformed pretty much every asset in the world
