Nine years ago today @AdamBLevine of Let's Talk Bitcoin fame launched possibly the first token gated music platform and corresponding tokens, MTM Series. May 18, 2016 Adam was early to many Bitcoin and crypto experiments that we're still trying to figure out how to make work in practice. I'd say that token gating had its first breakthrough success with NFT projects like BAYC in 2021, but even that idea has yet to be fully realized. So we keep pushing forward.
