In honor of Solana’s birthday, a short story I’ve never shared publicly: At Breakpoint 2022, shortly before the great FTX crash, I was given an amazing gift by someone who I would consider to be one of my favorites I’ve met in the space yet. A couple of days later, the entire energy and ethos of our beloved community was punched in the gut when the news of FTX broke out. Fear, uncertainty, and doubt tainted a pool full of innovation, ambition, and passion. After a very long flight home, this was the first thing I unpacked and it reminded me of exactly why I’m here and exactly why I’ll stay. Thank you to each and everyone of you I’ve been lucky enough to meet and interact with since my time here. May we continue to make history together ⚡️
