Considering investments in the robotics sector one of the most promising risk/reward plays right now, in my opinion There’ve been a few major, documented breakthroughs this year that surprisingly aren’t getting much mainstream attention yet: • Tesla showcased its Optimus Gen 2 humanoid robot earlier this year with significantly improved mobility and dexterity • NVIDIA announced Project GR00T (General-Purpose Robot AI) in March 2025, in collaboration with @GoogleDeepMind and Disney Research • Agility Robotics opened the world’s first humanoid robot factory in Oregon, focused on logistics and warehouse automation • Boston Dynamics unveiled Atlas Next, a fully electric humanoid robot, in April • ROS 3.0 (Robot Operating System) was released in May > a big step forward for open-source robotics infrastructure • Major medical robotics advancements this year: several companies are now trialing robotic physical therapy assistants with real patients • Research from MIT and ETH Zurich made headlines with breakthroughs in teaching robots new skills from fewer examples with more to come at IEEE IROS 2025 in October •🤖Uncbot and Rizzbot both went viral this month after successful public demos, pushing the boundary of social and AI-native robots My biggest wins so far have come from investing when the noise was at its lowest Robotics feels like one of those moments again
