There are seasons to sow and seasons to reap with quirky business models. One reason I've been putting so much work into Complex Systems this year has been "Well, I never want to be in a position where Internet wonders 'what have you do for me *lately*.'"

The rest of capitalism would probably say "You don't really get compensated primarily in reference to the median though" and factually no, it's extremely tail weighted.
