I like to brainstorm with chatgpt. Today I asked it to give me some thought exercises to learn more about myself as an enterpreneur and finding PMF. Here are some of my favorite questions it gave me: 🧠 Self-Awareness Prompts What do I find myself doing for free that others might pay for? What problems do I face daily that feel frustratingly unsolved? Which apps or tools do I use regularly — and what annoys me about them? What do friends or colleagues come to me for advice on repeatedly? If I had unlimited time and money, what problem would I work on anyway? 🔍 Market Discovery Prompts What’s something that’s obviously broken, but people have just learned to live with? What do smart people in a niche industry complain about quietly? What’s a behavior people do on spreadsheets or in Notion that could be a product? What would 1000 people in a niche subreddit gladly pay for if it existed? What’s something only people in [your domain] understand deeply that outsiders don’t? 📈 Timing & Trend Prompts What has changed in the world in the last 1–3 years that opens new doors? What behaviors or tools are emerging but underserved? What’s something that used to be expensive or hard, but is now cheap or easy? What feels inevitable 5–10 years from now, but barely exists today? 💸 Value & Monetization Prompts What’s something people already spend money on that could be 10x better? Where do people or businesses already have budgets, but no great solution? Who is being underserved by today’s largest platforms (e.g. YouTube, Shopify, Salesforce)? What kinds of pain do people have that are tied to money, time, or reputation? 🔐 Unfair Advantage Prompts What access, network, or insight do I have that most people don’t? What’s a field where I understand both the technical side and the human side? Where do I have distribution (an audience, a niche community, a channel) others don’t? What obscure thing have I obsessed over that might become valuable soon?
