Speaking to reporters earlier outside the White House, U.S. President Trump said regarding his announcement today about the repositioning of two nuclear submarines close to Russia, “We just have to be careful. A threat was made and we didn’t think it was appropriate, so I have to be very careful. I do that on the basis of safety for our people — we’re gonna protect our people.”
