privacy is a fundamental right distrust central authority, seek systems that don’t need central arbiters people may not care about decentralisation, but they care about its outcomes tech should enhance personal agency, not restrict it anonymity/ pseudo-anonymity is protective, less about hiding and more about protection from overreach or manipulation build, don’t ask permission. activism comes from action, and better systems cause change better than lobbying for it accounting for this in money was first step. accounting for this in programmability was second step accounting for this in identity is the next step
some of this may seem ideological, but it’s actually that it means better systems and outcomes are possible, and not just that they’re worthy pillars
