I recently posted an article that got a 2:1 bookmark-to-like ratio. For every like, the article earned two bookmark. An unseen ratio by all measurements. So I studied why it worked and how to replicate its success. Here’s what I uncovered: #1 Clear Value Compression: The title condensed years of real-world experience into a single post. It promised maximum value with minimum time investment from the reader. #2 Authority by Experience: The phrase “3 Years” signaled hard won, in the trenches experience. Readers trust content more when it’s written by a perceived authority figure. #3 Curiosity Trigger: There’s an open loop baked into the title. "What could someone possibly learn in 3 years that I can absorb in 5 minutes?" That tension gets clicks, and keeps people reading. #4 Niche-Specific Targeting: The term “Web3 Marketing” made this post very relevant to a specific audience and filtered out everyone else. I could've easily removed the web3 part of the title, but I don't think it would have gotten the CTR that did by making it super specific.
