I want to sincerely apologize to anyone affected by the scammers who took over my account. I’ve seen some of the DMs and conversations they had with people, and I’m genuinely sorry for any confusion or concern caused. Honestly, they did a TERRIBLE job at trying to scam. If they really wanted to grift, they could’ve just made a hot girl account, shilled garbage all day, and launched a token, and probably would’ve made a boatload. Instead, they fumbled hard. And should be ashamed of how horrible they were at scamming AND for scamming as well. On a more serious note, here’s how they got me: 3 dogs dropped off at 6am, and I was barely awake. I saw what looked like an official email from X saying I had violated a policy and needed to review or remove a post. A friend of mine had recently been suspended after calling out a bunch of "hot girl" scam accounts, so I figured maybe something similar had happened to me and wanted to assess it quickly. Normally, I would’ve caught that it was a phishing link… but I slipped up. They got me. Thankfully, it was just my X account. Also, thank you to the @ChimpersHQ community for pulling through and trying to help me as much as possible. I had multiple people from that community do whatever they could on the timeline to help me. Love you guys. And thank you to anyone else that reached out as well.
