Last weekend, we wrapped the first phase of the Qwen SKYST Hackathon. 40+ students. 2 tracks. 14 prizes. But more importantly, new ideas, fresh energy, and real talent. Huge thanks to everyone who joined us, our advisors, and valued partners @Alibaba_Qwen by @alibaba_cloud and @base for powering the experience. We were also honored to have Prof. Seungryong Kim from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Korea University join us on stage as a speaker. Special shoutout to the dev clubs at SKY universities and KAIST for showing up strong. Congrats to all the winners! Phase 2 is on the way. Stay sharp.
2/ Phase 1 focused on model fine-tuning across two tracks: • Alibaba Cloud Track: teams trained an AI hedge fund task by fine-tuning Qwen models. • Base Track: explored how open models interact with onchain infra via @base MCP, with focus on scale, security, and utility. All models were trained on FLock’s AI Arena, privately, collaboratively, and onchain. Here are the results👇
