"Russia has done no harm to Italy." A former Undersecretary of State for Italy. Remarkable.

Allow me to state some obvious fact: Russia has done no harm to Italy and its citizens, to the best of my memory, never. Indeed, Russians were the first, ahead of British, to rescue people in Messina, the location of the proposed bridge, during the earthquake in 1908. So, leaving aside the absurd claim that the bridge is a present to Russia, I see no problem to have friendly relationships with countries that have never done any harm to us.
