To the few wondering who might not have read the announcement or watched today’s show with @RogerDickerman — the only “end” happening here is the countdown to the first 500 projects on @artblocks_io Though I could never speak directly for @ArtOnBlockchain and this team, I’m fortunate to be working closely with them and can tell you that their focus, vision and execution is sharper than ever Art Blocks 500 is best viewed imo as a thoughtful yet exciting commemoration of a first chapter nearing its end; a celebration of the 495 phenomenal projects that Art Blocks has already helped bring into this world as well as the 5 projects that will be revealed in the coming months To me, it’s a reminder that however remarkable or impactful the beginnings of this story have been, we are indeed still at the beginning with many more chapters to come and this team is clearly just getting started It’s still recent that they’ve partnered and launched an artist residency with @opensea, pushed huge updates for collectors and creators on the platform, organized their 5th annual Marfa weekend and only just last week announced their acquisition of @trameparis... So here’s to Art Blocks 500, and to a team, platform & institution that has never been more prepared nor motivated to welcome and help build the future of generative art as it is right now To Art Blocks 🥂
