Overheard in today's Symphony manufacturing readiness review: "If stage 1 LPC is a blisk not a disk, then it’s a risk"

What this actually means: if we decide to make first compressor stage on the low spool a "blisk" (a single piece disk with blades) versus a more traditional disk (the blades are separate pieces attached to the disk).... then we might have to buy a bigger CNC machine...
