“But you still have a choice. Keet is peer-to-peer, unscannable, unstoppable.” Nope. The EU wants to mandate client-side scanning. Keet is just as subject to that law as any other chat app. The problem is using Keet will be illegal, and phone app stores will comply.

The right to privacy is not negotiable. The EU’s Chat Control law wants to scan your messages before you hit send — no warrant, no consent. 🇪🇺❌ But you still have a choice. Keet is peer-to-peer, unscannable, unstoppable. For freedom. For speech. For you. Keet - the chat app that knows nothing about you. #ChatControl #NoChatControl #Keet #PrivacyIsAHumanRight
Apple has already locked down iOS. You can't realistically use third-party apps on iPhonee without Apple's permission. Android still allows installing your own apps. But the EU can certainly ban this too. There is not a purely technical solution to the censorship problem.
