Last night I attended a dinner with other authors. Two of the 7 in attendance were NYT bestselling authors. My biggest learning? Expansive thinking is contagious. You NEED to surround yourself with people who think bigger. I had placed my ceiling for myself lower because I only know what I can see. Get in a room with people who expand your thinking and help you to see what’s possible. Here’s the thing…. I was the least successful person at the table and I loved it. Sure, that pinged levels of insecurities but that is emotion, not fact. I sat there and soaked in every minute of the knowledge and expertise. When was the last time you surrounded yourself with expanders? If you feel a loss of motivation right now….. This is the answer.
