Bitcoin is the value protection protocol. Lightning is the bitcoin payments protocol. Stablecoins are the dollar payments protocol. Before stablecoins, dollars were stuck on outdated, closed payment rails. Now they move freely across the internet. It’s like upgrading from physical mail to email. Without stablecoins, the dollar wouldn’t stand a chance competing with bitcoin for internet payments. Stablecoins don’t solve the value protection problem though. In my opinion, this is the biggest problem individuals face today. Fiat is inflating fast, and for many around the world, there’s no easy way to store the value of their hard earned money. Bitcoin solves this 500T+ value protection problem.
