From the desk of The Dev™: IMGN being slept on is more worrying for crypto than IMGN itself. IMGN went from playing catch-up with platforms like midjourney, to straight crushing it - tens of thousands of monthly users, yet very little crypto mindshare. I’m expecting a massive reversal in that, where IMGN winds up outpacing all the billion-dollar vaporware protocols in the space. And then it’ll be a cacophony of “wow how did I miss it” mixed with “omg how was this slept on” etc etc. Truth is it wasn’t slept on by Web2 at all. We reach new ATHs in users and revenues every month. It’s slept on by Web3 because we’re not feeding our audience to the wolves with shady KOL deals, or massive VC unlocks, or asking MMs to pump us into a nuke, or burning our treasury for CEX listings. We’re not schmoozing at events or trying to entrap people into bags. Our team have all gone grey from the endless dev crunch that was needed to compete with SOTA providers from a basement dev level. Actually building in crypto almost feels like it gets punished. At the top level, people scream about how builders get rewarded but honestly, not really the case. Those same top-level “YOUVE GOTTA BUILD” types will absolutely ignore you for a shitcoin that’s getting KOL-Pumped. The only saving grace is those shitcoins always die, and the people touting them get remembered for their extraction before rotating out. We’ll survive and thrive - our time is fast approaching. And we’ll be remembered as the one and only Crypto x AI protocol in the space which actually built, and didnt just wrap a sota.
