The devs building truly disruptive tech aren’t doing so in order to appease regulators. They are deliberately making decisions so that their tech renders regulators and governments powerless against it. Think about that next time you feel excited that a government or politician has suddenly turned “Pro crypto”. Their approval means nothing for where this tech is headed. And thank goodness because any government claiming to be “pro-crypto” is only doing so on their terms. They are not promising to uphold the ethos in which crypto was created, they are pro-crypto as long as they can use it for control, manipulation and surveillance. If your end game is to collect more dirty fiat then you’re missing out on a much bigger conversation. Very few things in life are black and white and this is one of them.
