This feeling is actually a pretty common and studied cognitive bias called effort heuristics or labor illusion: people value an outcome more when they believe a greater amount of effort or time was put into producing it, even if the result is the same. This happens a lot when value is hard to determine, when the evaluator lacks expertise in the subject, or the thing you are judging is totally new to you.

It's interesting. If a 3D artist had done this by hand in a game engine, I would love it & think it's a skillfully inspired re-imagining. Because it's AI it completely changes my feelings. It feels pointless, detached, uninspired & tainted. Art vs Slop content 🤷‍♂️
