libra/diem was 6+ years too early to a compelling idea @stable, @arc, @codex_pbc, @plasmafdn, @1moneynetwork (+others) going after similar visions but none with an ounce of the payments distribution of Stripe compliance + privacy were the wedge 7 years ago and that will be the case again crypto rails will continue to gradually (then quickly!) eat the legacy financial system -- though it may not happen in the manner many expected: incumbents capturing a lot of value vs. their tokens being the beneficiary
