In my old RuneQuest campaign, the players explored the ruins of the City of the Machine God. Despite it being RuneQuest, I had every single magic item they found be a crocked D&D magic item. Thus, they found Potions of Delusion, Death Scarabs, a Girdle of Sex Change, and so forth. Of course they loved these items. Powerful and interesting items unavailable in normal RuneQuest rules. They used the Girdle of Sex Change to abort a state wedding in a neighboring state, which ended up causing a revolution. It's all in how you look at things I guess.
