The crazy thing about this FDA letter is that blood pressure cuffs (especially the wrist ones) are already wildly unreliable. They’re awful, even at point of care. Whoops algorithm is probably closer to ground truth, and surely more useful in horizontal data.

Last month, the FDA sent @WHOOP a warning letter about our Blood Pressure Insights feature. This month, we responded: we have informed the FDA that we do not plan on removing the feature from our app. We welcome engagement and dialogue with the FDA, but we remain confident that the law is on our side.
