Hopefully this motivates someone. I was 19, starting a summer internship at an app company in LA. We went around introducing ourselves + our main skill. One said: “I’m great at Photoshop.” Another: “Financial projections, Excel.” Then it came to my turn. Mfs went so fast I didn't really have time to think about my answer. So I just said "I don't know really haha. I have cool ideas and make people around me better." I personally felt very unconfident not saying an exact skill, but no one laughed. Some nodded. Departments chose their interns. I got picked to work directly with the CEO. We built ideas meant to become what Nest is today. Company went under years later, but that’s not the point. The point: Your greatest strength might not be a “hard skill.” It can sometimes be intangible, a feeling, the way you make people around you think. Wherever you are in life, don't like societal boundaries bind you to rules. It is YOUR life. You choose whatever tf you want to do with it. Go strong, go fast, be free.
