I noticed people around me giving AIs so much unquestioned deference sometimes that it alarms me. They are often shocked when their info conflicts with what meatspace specialists tell them (e.g. doctors, lawyers). I went on a 5 hour ChatGPT binge to investigate a recent injury. Pretty dismayed at the outcome, then doctors and physios all gave me prognoses that were radically different (more positive) from what ChatGPT did. In fact ChatGPT actively suggested things that would have worsened it. The allure of instantaneous omniscience is dangerous, especially if the omniscience is not definite. Real simulacra vs. reality shit.
