[80th Anniversary of the End of the War - Traces of War] Osaka Loop Line: The bridge pier at Tamatsukuri Station still clearly shows the traces of machine-gun fire from P-51 Mustangs during the Great Air Raid on Osaka in June 1945. There are penetration holes all over the bridge girder. If you didn't know, you might think they were just rusted holes. However, what is particularly noteworthy are the machine-gun marks that are deep enough to peel away the thick steel of the bridge pier!
