One of the main lessons you'll likely painfully learn is: "Today's altcoin gem is tomorrow's ..." A statement that rings more true than anything for most things out there. "Don't invest in altcoins. They are all trash" "There's only BTC out there. You can't win" Anyone who says this is just doing it plain out wrong and you haven't learned how the state of things work here in crypto. (don't mistake this statement for the game being easy however. It's not. But someone has got to lose for another to win. And to be brutally honest they haven't been able to create their advantage so naturally they start hating and calling everything a scam to make it mentally easier to cope) Often I would hear people asking me: "Hey Nova, I remembered you talking about project x once. You still believe in it? You still hold it? You still have big expectations for it?" Often I reply with: "I don't hold it and I likely don't believe in it anymore" Weird right? Well it actually isn't. I believed in it 3 years ago. Or 2 years ago. Or even 1 year ago. That time has passed. That was then. Now is today. Often you'll see projects due to narrative, hype and good timing pull a 10x or higher. But when that's over? It's often over at some point. Most don't jump back either or only do it partially. Will I ever claim I sold that exact 10x and took my profits? Definitely not. Impossible. But I will be out partially or even completely along the way it was considerably going up (at 3x, at 5x, at 7x, at ...). Even more clueless people will point fingers at others and say: "Remember when they called? Look at the chart today" *Meanwhile XXX amount of time has passed They don't know that that's literally how crypto operates 99% of the time. If charts keep going up it also means no one in the world realized their profit and they have nothing. I like projects today based on the data presented TODAY. That can literally change in 2 months from now (that doesn't mean it always does ofcourse. Just saying it can. Could also be 6 months or a year or longer. But also less). And painfully anyone that hasn't learned this yet hasn't been in this industry long enough. And they eventually still will. Or they just quit and turn ultra bearish forever. Can you all avoid this by just sticking to BTC and Ethereum? Absolutely! But that doesn't mean there's no opportunity in altcoins to be made. There is. But it's YOUR mistake (respectfully) to play those altcoins like you are playing Bitcoin and Ethereum. Altcoins aren't the buy and hold forever. The have patience forever approach doesn't work here (there is the odd exception that breaks free and turns into a blue chip after but statistically don't bet on you holding them despite your confidence) Again this might be a long rant but it's incredibly true what I said before: "Today's gem is tomorrow's ... well trash" Altcoins might not be for you and that's totally fine. But don't call it a market without opportunity because you didn't create the advantage someone else did (that's literally how it works. One does so they outperform the other to profit). Nova out ❤️
