The current state of CT won’t survive another bear market. CT has become a zombie being held together by its own rotting tissue. What kept CT together during the last bear were the strong connections people had to one another. Although CT got very quiet in 2023, it was authentic and real engagement. People got together in their united belief that crypto was going somewhere. Right now, authentic engagement has been replaced by incentivized engagement. I open the comment section of my favourite creators, only to find that 95% of comments are just people farming impressions, whether bots or humans. Only 5% of engagement is genuine or authentic, but even those are overshadowed by the mass spread of incentivization. People have stopped engaging with one another because no one knows if the comments they are getting are from people who are just hoping for the reply or genuinely interested in a debate. Even many of your favourite creators have stopped being authentic to their own content! They use reply guys and think no one will notice. They farm leaderboards in the sneakiest of ways. No one cares about anything or anyone anymore. And that is how a communities dies. CT is dying, and unless it re-invents itself, the bear market will finish the kill.
