⚡️NEW: Hamas has filed a fresh appeal against the UK’s terror designation, accusing Home Secretary Yvette Cooper of rejecting its April petition “with an improper motive.” In a legal filing Tuesday, senior Hamas leader Mousa Abu Marzouk charged that Cooper failed to properly review or engage the group’s arguments because of “her support for, and belief in, Zionism and the Apartheid State of Israel, and/or her related and racist hostility towards non-Jewish Palestinians.” Lawyers further argued she had “fettered her discretion by subordinating her decision to a longstanding, inflexible policy of support for Zionism—a racist and fascist ideology.” Barrister Franck Magennis told Drop Site: “We’re alleging she had closed her mind… Hamas won the only election in Gaza these last two decades, and the British government doesn’t like that.” The case now moves to the Proscribed Organisations Appeal Commission. 🔗 Exclusive reporting by Jeremy Scahill, Drop Site News.
