Seeing a lot of ridiculous AI takes on the timeline recently. "AI is a bubble. They sell it to you for $200 but it costs them $600" "AI uses a ton of energy and does nothing" It's such a moronic take. ChatGPT is primed to replace Google Search, which generates $175B/yr. AI coding has improved rapidly over the past year, to the point that I can now design internal apps completely on my own (as a non coder). It's honestly shocking to see people peddle this take as some sort of deep contrarian view.
