@pasternak @believeapp @bazingahappy

I've got some hard news to share - I'm stepping down from @GoFundMemes. I can't give the $GFM community my all right now, and I don’t want to stand in the way of it. We launched on Jan 23 with one goal: Build a community-owned launchpad where 100% of fees go back to the Solana ecosystem. No VCs. No insiders. Just a protocol for the people. And somehow, we actually pulled it off… at least for a while. We generated over $1M in fees and lit a fire under the ecosystem to take back the value. But we quickly ran into a hard truth: Without support from trading terminals like Photon, BullX etc. new launchpads couldn’t compete no matter how good the idea. So we fought to change that. We made noise. We built. We rallied. And eventually, the message got through. @RaydiumProtocol and @MeteoraAG started building their own bonding curves with equal distribution. The playing field began to shift. I genuinely believe GFM helped force that change. We sparked the conversation and nudged the big players to move. That’s something I’ll always be proud of. We also made some big mistakes: At $120M market cap, we didn’t sell a single treasury token. Instead, we staked most of it, thinking the revenue would fund operations. A noble idea, but in hindsight, a terrible move. Launchpads are capital-intensive. You need liquidity to chase momentum. You need whales, firepower, and cash to fuel the flywheel. We had vision and values - but not the war chest. Massive shoutout to @bonk_fun and @SolportTom for showing how powerful it is to give back to the ecosystem. Thank you to all the partners who believed in us, and especially @The__Solstice who backed us hard when $GFM meant nothing. He put his own capital and time on the line. He’s one of the best bag workers in the game and not enough people give him credit. He'll go all in for a project he believes in, even if it ends up costing him. And finally to the $GFM community: Thank you for letting me be part of something so raw, experimental, and unforgettable. The memes aren’t done. The mission’s not over. Just my chapter is.
