It would be much better for @RachelReevesMP to admit a mistake, break the manifesto, raise the tax she needs and make the right decisions to grow the economy.
Don’t dream up a muddle of growth-damaging taxes trying to hold to a manifesto which never made sense in the first place.
If the economy recovers strongly voters will forgive the manifesto.
If it doesn’t Labour will not be saved by saying it stuck to a manifesto.
