hyperliquid going down is causing their funding rates to nuke since hyperliquid settles funding rates every hour and has ~$15B in open interest, this could cause damage to anybody who has a short position open

Downtime is just a fact of life. Sui will continue to go down. Solana will continue to go down. Ethereum is always down (sorry bros). Coinbase goes down every other week. If you don't go down, you're not pushing the limits. Push the limits.
