Twitter will regularly teach you that you can have every material thing and conventional achievement that a human being can dream of having, and yet still be as petty and intellectually dishonest as a child who refuses to be wrong.

People suddenly feel uncomfortable when they encounter the embodiment of what they are insecure about, it doesn't matter whether it's about looks, height, weight, wealth, wits, talent, fitness, love; and that's actually the way it should work: when life is sending you the signals that you should work on yourself, just take the hint instead of rationalizing the situation, the faster you become honest with yourself, the faster your life will start unfolding in the right direction.

The smarter you are, the less you actually worry; you are either getting things done, or figuring out how to get things done; there is no time wasted on acting like a victim; you know handling uncertainty with calm is part of the game.

Growing up, the most condescending “you’ll understand once you are older” came from people who were either physically out of shape, financially irresponsible, drinking every day, treating their family with disrespect, never reading and assuming they knew better and were special; fast-forward a few decades, the main thing I understand is that life is indeed very hard when you don’t understand the value of a healthy lifestyle, when you don’t make the effort to understand how money moves in society, when you enjoy feeling numb instead of being focused, when you can’t be kind and thoughtful to the people who matter the most, when you stop learning with the humility of a beginner.

Trying to control someone else mostly teaches them how to stay as far away from you as possible.

A lot of peace of mind boils down to whether you think you earned what you have.

People who are frustrated with who they are cannot help but spill their anger on everyone around them. Trying to absorb their resentment isn't gonna help them, it's just gonna break you. They have their own journey to do first, be smart, and let them go.

You don't worry about small things that don't matter because you have an anxious or overthinking nature; you worry about trivial things because you are not working on anything bigger; peace of mind naturally comes to people who are focused on the right ambitions.

Delayed gratification is great when it comes to making money, but there are so many things you can only truly experience when you're still young, don't become an old wealthy person who has never truly lived and who's now trying to buy back and catch up with their long gone youth.

Many people claim they want to stay alone to be able to work on themselves freely but truth is, if you choose the right partner and are around a loving family, every day looks brighter, every effort feels more meaningful, every year makes you grow so much more as a person.
