just riffing here. i think the 'casual degen genre' as coined by @YieldGuild is going to be much larger than is given credit. i would go so far as to say the persona and icp (ideal custom profile) has been brewing the entire break market - cryptos adoption is happening and accelerating whether you like it or not. - casual gaming is massive in the pie of actual gamers and spending gamers. - the pie of casual players willing to spend or put money on the line as crypto gets abstracted (or ui/ux big jumps like those thanks to @AbstractChain abs portal) will only increase @playgigaverse took it to another level with the brand and quality of loops on abstract. @onchainheroes also to a degree. you even see @PirateNation now fits the same bill with their infinite tides title just announced. this probably only isn't on abstract but abstract has the ui/ux and unlocked the liquidity. other gaming chains have more complex games that have tapped into spending what @LOLLandGame has done was take the insight and go full-on, all gas no breaks. notably including an attempted master-stroke by being a publisher and coining the term 'casual degen genre'' testament to their ability to coin terms that let @YieldGuild champion a narrative from a pattern they've identified. i imagine some of that brilliance coming from the expertise of @emfarsis but have no inside intel some may think that 'creating' this narrative as a bad thing. but that is wrong. formation of a proper narrative is storytelling for a pattern already emerging. and having the that pattern fully form as a narrative paves the way for others to build in that area as well and advance value to builders, users, and ecosystems. i expect much more gaming in the space to build on this insight, and perhaps a true line of sight into melding non-crypto gamers into crypto backed games. if you haven't tried any of the casual degen games mentioned here, i urge you to give them a shot and see for yourself what's brewing. i have a feeling you'll understand where things are going. enter the era of the casual degen.
