PRO-TIP: Abbott should NOT attempt to call for special elections for the House Democrats who fled the state. Doing so would shut down the Texas House until mid-September until special elections could be held. They would be able to return to Texas and run for office again. Instead we ought to force them to remain in hiding until next year. Call their bluff. Post law enforcement at each of their homes and arrest them if they attempt to sneak back into the state.
