You're going to hear a lot in the coming year about universities restructuring and downsizing or closing many majors or PhD programs, and while it is understandable that many people will assume this is a response to Trump or "antiwoke" pressure, you should keep in mind that we just hit peak high school senior and there has been a longterm decline in a lot of once-popular majors like English and history.
