Long article in this week’s New Yorker about Trump enriching himself via the presidency. Longest section is about crypto. However one feels about the New Yorker, it’s a good pulse check on liberal/left America. And the sentiment toward crypto is extremely negative, albeit pretty under-informed. And bitcoin gets lumped in as well, largely because of Trump’s involvement. I think there are some demographic nuances that muddy more reductive conclusions, but nevertheless it’s clear there can and likely will be an equal and opposite reaction in a Dem regime, as discussed by @cjasonmaier and @ktreywalsh pretty regularly. Which is again why regardless of where you stand politically, it’s simply a more unassailably positive environment if the stereotypes Dems hold toward Bitcoin can be broken down with education and outreach. Obviously won’t work with many. But to those that will listen, efforts like those being undertaken by @TPB_Inc must be made.
