I had a moment many years ago where I was eating a banana and I realized I never really paid attention to a banana ever. I just eat it and move on. But this time I examined it closely, the leathery feel of the peel, the mist of juice that releases as you tear it open, etc, etc, every little detail. This easily became an analogy for life. So often we do things 100 times over yet never truly appreciate the beauty we are surrounded by while doing them. I still carry that banana moment with me today, always making an effort to stop and appreciate, always finding something to be grateful for, even suffering is a sensation to observe and appreciate.
