Let’s say Trump’s economic policies unleash stagflation resulting in a collapse of his approval numbers — while the approval rating of Democrats nonetheless continues to plummet along with it. I think a decent hypothesis for such a puzzling conjuncture would be that continued association of the Democratic Party with 1.) the largest immigration surge in America history, 2.) a whole of government effort to impose racial loyalty oaths and rationing of public goods (including lifesaving medicines) by race and 3.) the chemical castration of young children who have been propagandized from the earliest age by public school teachers that any of them can change sex is exerting downward pressure on the party’s image (reflecting a reality that no amount of attempted rebranding can efface) that even the failure of the other party cannot offset.
