Remarkable. Just months ago we, a US domiciled nonprofit builder, were subpoenaed by the SEC, without cause, along with others working on Zcash. This resulted in crippling legal bills and stress - taking from builders and reallocating to lawyers. This was a chokepoint in a different form, an attempt to squeeze out innovation through fear and financial distress. If we now have fairness and self-custody, we must also now have access to privacy as it is necessary freedom and human flourishing. And yet that pillar of our American values remains unprotected, and builders prosecuted.
