Dante keeps to no faction and works The Yard as a Terrier who is wired from eyebrows to paws, fixing trouble by causing slightly less trouble. Anyone within earshot of Dante eventually hears the theory that the Endless Track loops because somewhere it cheats. There is a corner of the Soft Hill where Dante is unofficially assumed to be in charge of nothing in particular. Dante believes the best future is built one well kept friend at a time.
