In hindsight, most of the green energy/climate change push in the Western world was just Chinese propaganda manufactured to relatively slow down Western economies so that China could de-lever their property bubble & catch up/monopolize certain domains. Climate/Green energy was just another tax on US industry so that the extreme left could centralize power similar to the CCP (similar incentives). Don’t get me wrong-We should always be conscious of our environment & habitat and assessing risks vs rewards in certain industries. But we need to ask “who benefits most” when analyzing the incentives of certain narratives. It’s incredible to me all the Silicon Valley all-stars who were about “climate” have already pivoted their “green” narrative because AI infrastructure needs insane amounts of power. Gotta love the Silicon Valley beta male incentives where they will change their politics as long as it means they can centralize more power & money. Any there any real leaders out there anymore or is everyone compromised?!
