I'm seeing a bunch of normally reasonable high-IQ right-leaning accounts starting to become extreme on immigration. There's something in the air right now that's causing this (fairly sudden and often irrational) shift. Who knows, maybe it's just a passing moral panic. But it's definitely happening. Best I can tell, it's a combination of making a mountain out of the Mamdani molehill along with confusing developing world immigrants in Europe with those in the US. The latter concern, in particular, isn't justified.
