I try to be a bit cautious with data sets I’m not familiar with, but if this is correct it looks like the increase in dad parenting time began around the late 1980’s (roughly coincides with Full House, Family Matters, Fresh Prince of Bel Air).

This is quite a striking chart from the Economist. Millennial fathers spent only marginally less time caring for their children than Baby Boomer mothers of the same age.
They were pioneers, but now we have Millennial dads who basically don’t remember a time before Danny Tanner and Uncle Phil.
